Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) on designated local and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including Bills of Lading and delivery receipts accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized driving environment, both in the cab and the cargo area.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling and safety regulations.
- Must be available to work weekends (Friday - Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
