Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and DVIR logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and protected against damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license with required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Willingness and ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Strong knowledge of geographic areas and navigation systems.
- U.S. citizenship or valid legal working status.
