Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled truck drivers to handle regional and local freight. You will be responsible for transporting goods safely and timely, ensuring our customers receive their products exactly when they need them.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and paperwork, including delivery receipts and bill of lading.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery status.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle interior and exterior.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Current Medical Card and DOT Physical certification.
- Must be willing to work weekend shifts (Friday - Sunday or Saturday - Monday).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks at loading docks.
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience in logistics or transportation is preferred.
