Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) ensuring weight distribution.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete all necessary documentation (DVIR, Bills of Lading).
- Maintain accurate logs in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on time and in perfect condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates and route changes.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Pass a drug screen and background check.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday through Sunday) and occasional holidays.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and customer service skills.
