Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend deliveries across Michigan and Ohio
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain DOT-compliant electronic logs
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklift certifications
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while optimizing routes for maximum efficiency
- Document all transport activities and resolve delivery exceptions proactively
- Participate in monthly safety training and equipment maintenance programs
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to ensure seamless weekend operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- HazMat endorsement preferred; willing to sponsor certification
- Pass federal DOT physical and random drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and route navigation apps
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Availability for 12-hour weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday)
