Responsibilities
- Safely operate refrigerated tractor-trailers for regional deliveries within Michigan
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage temperature-controlled cargo with precision for perishable goods
- Provide exceptional customer service during dock interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Maintain clean, DOT-compliant vehicle appearance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- 2+ years refrigerated trailer experience required
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of Michigan highway systems and seasonal road conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred
