Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van) for weekend delivery routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Urgent coverage for high-priority weekend shipments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Weekend availability (Sat/Sun shifts, 6am-6pm)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Indianapolis metro area and surrounding routes
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for e-logging apps
