Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for weekend deliveries and pickups within San Jose and surrounding areas
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
- Perform pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, and document all vehicle logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain clean driving record and complete required training modules
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of California roadways and regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Flexibility for occasional overtime or route adjustments
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
