Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately, securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure a zero-accident environment.
- Perform routine vehicle cleaning and maintenance checks.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and a current DOT drug screen (clear).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional traffic laws, road conditions, and navigation.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
