Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided)
- Navigate optimized routes using GPS technology for on-time deliveries
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and FMCSA regulations
- Complete electronic documentation via onboard telematics systems
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean MVR (3+ years driving history)
- Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer experience in urban environments
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred (training available)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Proficient in DOT regulations and electronic logging devices
- Strong navigation skills in Los Angeles metropolitan area
- Weekend availability (Sat/Sun shifts) with weekday flexibility
