Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for weekend delivery routes across the Dallas metropolitan area
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Document all transport activities and submit required paperwork promptly
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (3+ years commercial experience)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong knowledge of Dallas-area roadways and traffic patterns
- DOT medical certification and current physical examination
- Experience with multi-stop delivery routes and time-sensitive freight
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Exceptional communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts
