Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries within Boston and surrounding areas
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve route issues proactively
- Maintain clean, organized vehicle and report maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while optimizing route efficiency
- Support warehouse operations when not on delivery routes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Strong knowledge of Boston metro area geography and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass background check
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday shifts)
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) preferred
