Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend delivery routes within San Jose and surrounding Bay Area
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Utilize GPS routing technology for efficient navigation and time management
- Document delivery exceptions and communicate with dispatch team
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday shifts, 8-12 hours/day)
- Strong knowledge of Bay Area geography and traffic patterns
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team communication
