Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional deliveries within Charlotte metro area
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments with proper equipment handling and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Operate in various weather conditions while maintaining on-time delivery performance
- Participate in monthly safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte area roadways and delivery protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Availability to work flexible weekends with minimal weekday requirements
