Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend deliveries across Michigan and Ohio
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system documentation
- Load/unload freight with precision using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Adapt routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while prioritizing safety
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Represent our company with exceptional customer service during all interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in varying weather conditions
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation systems
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery schedules
- DOT medical certification and willingness to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Knowledge of Michigan/Ohio highway systems and commercial vehicle regulations
- Team player mentality with focus on safety and operational excellence
