Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional routes within the DC metro area
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to delivery schedules and DOT guidelines
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device records
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DC/MD/VA roadways and traffic patterns
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and GPS navigation
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Must pass thorough background check and MVR review
