Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) within metropolitan DC routes
- Maintain meticulous delivery logs and compliance documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization
- Handle specialized cargo requiring temperature control or hazardous materials endorsement
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and local traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Hazmat/Tanker endorsements preferred (training provided)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Washington DC metropolitan roadways
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
- Flexibility for early morning/late evening shifts
