Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles delivering goods across the DC metro area
- Strict adherence to DOT regulations and pre/post-trip inspection protocols
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology for maximum efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Ensure cargo security and temperature control (as required)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with DC metro area traffic patterns and regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass background check and drug screening
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred (training provided if needed)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
