Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently in all weather conditions.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and DOT compliance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers.
- Uphold a professional image while representing the Apex Transport brand.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL Driver's License with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
