Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) to transport goods on assigned routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Manage delivery documentation and communicate shipment status to dispatch
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems while optimizing route performance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Must reside within 50 miles of New Orleans, LA
