Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per FMCSA regulations
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation laws
- Assist in freight handling and secure loading procedures
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate vehicle maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of hazardous materials handling (Hazmat certification preferred)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Previous experience with flatbed, dry van, or refrigerated trailers
