Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, tractor-trailers) for local and regional deliveries
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery timelines and fuel efficiency goals
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Boston metro area and New England routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and electronic logging devices
