Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) to transport goods across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route optimization and timely deliveries
- Report maintenance issues and ensure vehicle cleanliness
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no DUIs, major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with D.C. metro area routes and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility to work weekends and early morning shifts as needed
