Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or B trucks and trailers on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid US Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the proper endorsements (Class A preferred, Class B considered).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) valid for at least 90 days.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of Virginia and North Carolina roadways and regulations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
