Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport freight to designated locations in and around Omaha.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance (DVIR).
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) in strict adherence to FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Hazmat/Tanker preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT Medical Card and negative drug screen results.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and random drug testing.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
