Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in strict compliance with federal, state, and local traffic laws.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and mechanical readiness.
- Secure cargo properly and verify delivery manifests for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and hours-of-service logs.
- Interact professionally with customers, drivers, and warehouse personnel.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand tools).
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (HazMat preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) available for review.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and a drug screen.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.
