Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (Driver's Daily Log, DVIR) and ensure full compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, delays, and route changes.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training sessions.
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites and during interactions with the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (with required endorsements, e.g., Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples).
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Current DOT medical card (Medicare) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Physically capable of lifting cargo and operating heavy machinery.
