Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in strict accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely using proper tie-down techniques to ensure cargo safety.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and ensure all vehicle paperwork is current and compliant.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, traffic conditions, and delays.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, security, and professional conduct at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on role).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
