Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver freight to designated locations on schedule.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Complete all required delivery paperwork, logbooks, and electronic logging device (ELD) entries accurately.
- Maintain a clean driving record and strictly adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card) and DOT physical.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations or DUIs within the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) is a plus.
