Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in and around the Oakland metropolitan area.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring weight distribution and security.
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily logs (DOT Hours of Service) and inspection reports.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a clean driving record at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Required).
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUIs or major moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
