Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) over regional routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Manage delivery timelines and resolve route challenges proactively
- Maintain clean driving record and logbooks in compliance with FMCSA standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend schedules
