Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight on schedule.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) as required.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and stay within DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery locations and handle paperwork accurately.
- Uphold a clean driving record and adhere to all company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or Class B with Tanker endorsement).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) is required.
- 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and map reading.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with cargo handling.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed.
