Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (tractors, flatbeds, reefers) across Northern California routes
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining strict adherence to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for route optimization and delivery confirmations
- Handle hazardous materials (Hazmat endorsement preferred) and oversized loads as needed
- Maintain professional customer relations during loading/unloading operations
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) for compliance tracking
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Familiarity with California traffic laws and mountainous terrain navigation
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in variable weather conditions
- Basic smartphone proficiency for communication apps
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
