Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) in compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Plan efficient routes and manage delivery schedules to meet deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding route status and potential delays
- Ensure cargo security and maintain clean, organized cab environment
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of North Carolina and Florida road networks
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for overnight stays and irregular schedules
