Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely delivery of cargo while adhering to safety protocols.
- Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical issues and report any maintenance requirements immediately.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity and safety during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (Electronic Logging Devices) and paperwork for compliance and billing.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and ensure satisfaction with delivery quality.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (Class A or B depending on role).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations or DUIs on record.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and safety procedures.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and reporting.
