Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring freight safety and integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records in strict accordance with FMCSA guidelines.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure zero accidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging and reporting.
