Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Minimize fuel consumption through efficient route planning
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate vehicle servicing
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of North Carolina roadways and regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) preferred
