Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS).
- Navigate delivery routes in Oakland and surrounding areas with a focus on time management and fuel efficiency.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel at each delivery location.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Current DOT Medical Card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
