Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route planning and real-time updates
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Assist with loading/unloading when necessary and verify shipment documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Florida’s highway systems and weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
