Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles over long distances while adhering to DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Load/unload freight efficiently using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adapt to changing schedules and route conditions as needed
- Uphold strict safety standards and defensive driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (or willingness to obtain with our training program)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic understanding of vehicle operation and safety protocols
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Physical ability to handle freight loading/unloading (up to 50 lbs)
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
