Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and resolve route issues
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of Chicago area roadways and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Flexibility to work irregular hours including early mornings and weekends
