Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) over long-distance routes in North Carolina and surrounding states.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT hours-of-service regulations.
