Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for regional and long-haul routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to ensure on-time deliveries and optimize routes
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
- Report vehicle maintenance issues and safety concerns immediately
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS rules, and route planning
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
- Must reside within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC
