Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across North Carolina and neighboring states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance at all times
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Secure and unload cargo using proper loading techniques and equipment
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Respond professionally to route changes and delivery schedule adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- Clean criminal background check required
