Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for local/regional routes throughout New York
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip logs in compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Adapt to changing schedules and traffic conditions to ensure on-time deliveries
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
- Maintain clean driving record and report any maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and commercial vehicle regulations
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings and weekends
