Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Plan efficient delivery schedules while maintaining timely arrival at destinations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to resolve route disruptions and delays
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metro area and Midwest highway systems
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
