Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo efficiently and assist with securement procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Adapt to schedule changes and prioritize time-sensitive deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and regional geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Previous hazmat endorsement preferred
