Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for long-haul routes across the Southwest
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs, inspections, and documentation
- Load/unload freight efficiently while ensuring proper handling and security
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Represent Swift Transportation with professionalism in customer interactions
- Utilize GPS technology for route optimization and timely deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular schedules
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Excellent time management and route planning skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
