Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and timely manner to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling according to safety standards.
- Inspect vehicle condition before, during, and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to address any delivery issues.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Current DOT Medical Card and CDL Physical examination card.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and navigation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
