Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across Southern California
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules with GPS route optimization
- Communicate professionally with dispatch teams and clients
- Ensure cargo security and proper documentation (bills of lading)
- Comply with FMCSA regulations and California state driving laws
- Assist in loading/unloading operations when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of San Diego metro area and California highways
- Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend shifts
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
